R A I S AGuardian of Sorelus Raisa looked to her mate, seeing as he snorted at the fact that she thought they were going to stay locked away in the dens. Or that she was anyways. It seemed that motherly instinct still hadn’t left her. Even if she was itching to get out of the den, she didn’t want to leave her mate and pups alone. She wanted to at least travel through the territory. She wasn’t sure if she would fit in with the group that had headed out together, but she hoped that she would be able to get to know them in the future. Time would allow her to do so eventually, but right now she had pups to take care of. Looking to her mate, she gave him a smile, listening to his words. It would be nice to get the pups out of the den too, have them at least smell the new world around them. Their eyes hadn’t quite opened, but they were starting to. She brushed her tongue along Quinn’s back as she got up, hearing a small whine come from the brindled pup. She gave him a reassuring nudge, watching as the little being flopped a bit trying to find the warmth that was his mother.
“I think we should get them out of the den as well,” She said to her mate, looking towards him with beautifully pale rose eyes. “It would be good to take them out. A little family outing,” She smiled at the thought. “Maybe catch a rabbit or two if I can,” She said, the need to hunt something taking possession of her thoughts for a moment before she shook them away, looking towards her mate. “How does that sound? I would rather adventure through the territory with you by my side than by myself,” She whispered as her head rested on his shoulder, nuzzling into the familiar fur that she slept next to every night. She still couldn’t comprehend that he was her mate, but she was happy, content with her place in the pack. She was by his side, and his heart was hers, hers being his as well. And their pups were the embodiment of that.
“Lead the way,” She said, gingerly picking up Quinn by the scruff as she waited for her mate to guide her through the territory she had yet to explore.

Rose-pink eyes regarded his proposal with a wary degree of consideration. All to be expected, of course — after all, were these not their first? A certain amount of caution was necessary; mandatory. “I think,” Raisa mused reverently, “We should get them out of the den as well. It would be good to take them out.” Rowan couldn’t resist a giddy, playful grin. Their first official family outing would stay just between him, Raisa, Quinn and Sirius, as it should’ve. As fond as he was of his packmates, there were times when he believed they were better off minding their business. Now was such a time. It’d been a long time since they’d been able to be alone. Far too long. “How does that sound? I would rather adventure through the territory with you by my side than by myself.” Raisa nuzzled into his shoulder, the same tender, soft touch that always meant that she was feeling wonderfully, even more so than she usually was. “I think,” Rowan began, allowing his greying head to rest on top of hers momentarily. “That sounds just perfect.” Promptly, Raisa pulled herself away, picking up Quinn and shooting him a look that begged the silent question of, ‘Well, why are you just standing there?’ “Lead the way! She quipped sweetly. Rowan chuffed, softly lifting Sirius, who remained perfectly rigid once his paws had left the ground. “Will do!” He chirped.
As they ambled out of the den, he tried his absolute hardest to picture a place where they could stroll comfortably. Their Hot Springs were far too risky, stocked to the brim with rowdy, playfully rambunctious wolves and geysers, geysers of all things. He couldn’t speak for other parents, but personally, he preferred his puppies weren’t broiled. The Hunting Grounds were another option, but did he honestly want something the size of his paw around deer, elk, moose? It was too unpredictable, especially with the yearling hunting party out and about wreaking first-time havoc. And then there were the Border Grounds, but like the Hunting Grounds, anything could happen. And he, personally, knew better than to place trust in anything. His pair of pups were the loveliest things to have entered his life thus far, and he’d no intention of risking them. And then, as he set eyes on their Commons lake, he knew where he would go. When he and his band of wolves had first laid eyes on their territory, they’d spent their first night blissfully at peace, fully protected by the bends and dips of a winding little river. “Hey Raisa,” He quipped around Sirius’s thin scruff. “Remember the stream? Why don’t we pay it a visit?” He smiled, quietly awaiting her approval. Once it was given, he’d pick his pace up to a trot; a lighthearted, gentle lope to get the blood flowing after such a long stay in the den.

R A I S AGuardian of Sorelus She looked to her mate as he took Sirius into his own maw, the little bundles of fur crying out in unhappiness from being whisked away from her belly, but they would learn to deal with it. It was almost time to start weaning them, and to get them to eat real meat, what better time than now to keep them away from her belly? Not that she could listen to them cry constantly, she would give and feed them if needed, but she would try her hardest to ignore her sons’ protests. Rowan seemed to contemplate where they should go, and she wasn’t sure where in the territory they could take them. The hunting grounds and borders were definitely not the case, and these hot springs she had heard of might be a bit too dangerous. Although Raisa was sure that Quinn and Sirius would be getting up to trouble, venturing to places that they shouldn’t in the future, she could at least prevent them from doing so now. Rowan brought up the creek, the one they had stayed at when they first came to the territory, and where she had birthed the two wonderful children that they called their family.
She gave a small nod, a pleasant smile present on her face as she hell Quinn by his scruff, giving a nod to Rowan in approval. As he took off in a trot, it took Raisa a moment to catch up with him, a bit out of breath. She hadn’t taken much time away from the den, and it had added some weight to the she-wolf, as well as made her a little less athletic compared to her mate, but she was going to work off the extra fat in no time once the pups were able to run around. That much she knew.

Time Skip:These days, it seemed their den permanently smelled of milk. Not that he minded in the slightest. Right now, Raisa was curled into him on her side, Quinn and Sirius in between. It was delightfully, wonderfully domestic, more so than he envisioned himself partaking in, but what wasn’t to love? It seemed that Raisa had just weaned their first litter of two when she discovered she was pregnant with their second, and they’d welcomed them with joy. As Quinn and Sirius blossomed into the personalities they’d shown in infancy, the pair took private joy in knowing that their second litter was growing alongside their first. A little soon, perhaps, but Raisa had always voiced a vibrant desire for a large family. Rowan had been a bit hesitant to the idea, granted — but oh, their pups were perfect. Every day unveiled something unknown and delightfully new to love about his sons. Quinn was their adventurer, their bold explorer that never failed to return home with fresh scrapes and muddy paws, hoisting a host of marvelous treasures in tiny jaws for them and his brother Sirius to savor. Sirius, on the other hand, was most content when curled against the swell of his mother’s belly, listening to his father’s tales with a quiet, attentive ear. They were the lovely, eternal light of theirs lives. He couldn’t wait to finally see their second. Raisa had unfortunately received the worst end of this deal. According to Cecil, she should have given already birth — a week ago? A week and a half maybe? Regardless, the small-framed she-wolf had to have been uncomfortable, especially this late into pregnancy. For now, he’d offer his support where ever he could, whenever she needed it (and even if she didn’t.) “Good morning love,” He murmured, gently bopping her nose. If she didn’t stir awake then, he’d push her closer into himself, releasing her after a gentle hug. “Any day now, right? Just have to be patient is all. Anything you need today?” After taking a moment to listen to any new requests, he lifted himself from their nest, taking care to ensure Quinn and Sirius didn’t fall to the ground as he stood. “Rise and shine you two.” He chimed, tousling the remnants of baby fluff clinging to the tops of their heads. A gleaming, wide grin found his features. “Whole world of trouble for the two of you get into today. Let’s all give it a look.” With that, he stepped outside, pleased to find the Commons were still relatively quiet; a rare, but very much appreciated occurrence. Sorelus had remained relatively at ease, for the most part. The only wolf they’d lost had been Twizzle; a sad loss, especially for Wingnut, but they’d managed themselves well in his wife. Cecil had found a sweetheart in his old age; an equally well-tempered elder named Grizelda, and seemed to instantaneously have found himself head over heels. Rowan chuckled at the thought. Edon and Kodiak had developed a delightful friendship — wasn’t it just wonderful, the miracles a trip to the Hot Springs could work? Even Wingnut seemed to developed a certain fondness for Moose. Not that she’d ever show it, of course. It came in seemingly innocuous, run-of-the-mill questions, like his health, emotional status, and state-of-being, but that was intimacy enough for her. He was certain she’d come around soon. And then there was Joy, the absolute darling! She’d developed what seemed to be a tiny bit of a crush on Simon, who he may or may not have strategically placed under her supervision as a scout. While there weren’t litters about, love certainly was, and in his pleasant experience, that only ever led to lovely things. Why would this be different? Who knew what wonders the future would bring! The time had come to divvy up the duties for the day. His first order of business was to talk to Joy about a mission. It’d been quite some time since Sorelus had done some good, and he felt it was time to amend that. Pausing briefly, he softly huffed at the mouth of her den, enough to rouse the light sleeper. “’Ello Joy,” he quipped lightheartedly. “Got a bit of a mission for you. It’s been a while since we’ve had some new blood in Sorelus, don’t you think?” Rowan chuffed softly. “I’d like for you to take some time and scout out the rogue lands. Take Simon and Azrath; never hurts having a spare pair of eyes. Take some time, look around, and if there’s anyone that needs help — well, you already know the drill by now. Good luck,” He bid with a smile. “Even though we all know you don’t need it. Raisa and I will be expecting you back in time.” Afterwards, he made a quick stop at Azrath and Simon’s dens, respectively, lingering just long enough to rouse the two from their sleep. Their first adventure beyond the borders — how marvelously exciting! They would all do wonderfully; he was sure. And then came time to address the rest of the pack. Patiently, he lingered on top of his perch. Gradually, one by one, members slipped out of their den and gathered for the address. “It seems we’ve had a bit of mountain lion problem, especially in recent months,” he began, his eyes drifting to the mountain peaks. “I’d like for you all to split off, maybe two or three groups, and then flush out the caves. Be careful, quick, and stay on your feet at all times. Doesn’t seem like they like to attack groups, but if any of them show any signs of enhanced aggression, evacuate. Remember, no matter what, it won’t be worth a life. I will join you all to assist and aid in the fight as needed.” Rowan added, looking over his wolves fondly. “Any qualms, questions? Those that feel unwell are free to stay back. If not, we will be setting off shortly. Good luck, and good hunting to all!”Tagged: Guardian Raisa @wingnut @joy Salutary Cecil @grizelda Scout Hye-Su Scout Azrath @simonn @niqo @helios @junichiro Hunter Edon Hunter Kodiak Apprentice Valencia Hunter Moose

-Time skip-She had never thought that just a mere four months ago she was a wandering rogue, heart searching for something but not knowing what. Since the moment she laid eyes on Cecil again at the borders on that fateful day, she knew she had found home. The amount of gratefulness that Griz felt towards Rowan was immeasurable. She was no fool; an old wolf being accepted into a pack was nearly unheard of. She wasn't an able bodied youngling that could hunt and scout for Sorelus. In the most cynical view, she was a liability. But Rowan had allowed her to reunite with Cecil indefinitely, and for that she respected the male immensely. Waking up was always a process of sore joints for the pair of them. In their shared den, it took the older female a few minutes to fully become mobile after an uneventful rest. Crawling out of the den and gingerly stretching aching joints, the matron waited for her love to wake and join her outside before moving closer to hear Rowan's words properly. He mentioned a problem with mountain lions, which was concerning to say the least. Their stench had been slowly growing closer and closer to the commons, and with Raisa heavily pregnant - overdue even - there was no way that it could be left unaddressed. As he mentioned the creation of groups to hunt the beasts, Grizelda already knew that she was exempt from that, and Cecil likely was too. Nuzzling against the smaller elder, Griz's slow, scratchy morning voice rasped, "Sweetheart, do you have any plans for today?"Alpha Rowan Salutary Cecil @y'all

-- Timeskip: Unspecified -- Love was a beautiful thing. It was warm, comforting, gentle, unique and a discovery that Valencia had never thought she would have made in her lifetime. But here she was, curled up against the lovingly familiar frame of her own mate, his ginger hues mingling with the coffee colours of her own pelt as they shared those blissful moments of post-slumber dreariness pressed together in a ball of limbs and fuzz. Valencia and Moose weren't the only Sorelus members to be blessed with such love, as the season of spring seemed to have been generous with it's sprouts of affection. Her own mentor had discovered such wonders shortly after herself, with none other than the elder female that they had met in the rogue lands before travelling to Sorelus. Grizelda had been a welcome sight within the pack, and Val was thrilled to see her and Cecil so happy together. Edon and Kodiak seemed to have found a kindling of love in the same time-period as the rest of them. Perhaps something had been in the water at the springs that day—and perhaps Wingnut and Junichiro had been immune to its power. Rowan and Raisa had continued to grow their family as well over the last few months, the beautiful she-wolf having fallen pregnant with her second litter so soon was enough to keep Valencia on her toes, the little apprentice busying herself with the progression and wellbeing of the younger female. Everything was absolutely perfect. She nuzzled Moose's cheek before gliding her tongue gently across the same spot, waking him from his sleep if he wasn't already conscious. "Good morning, Moosie," her tone was soft as she positioned her head against his broad chest, "do you think anyone will notice if we stay curled up in bed all day?" She suggested playfully, a smile spreading across her lips and pushing her chubby cheeks into cute little bunches of fuzz. "Mmm, Sorelus is sure to notice if their star-hunter was to go missing." Valencia hummed as she answered her own question, shifting her cranium so she could gaze out at the Common Grounds beyond the warmth of their den. Excitement leapt into her body as mocha eyes spotted fat grey clouds, and indication that rain was sure to come. Her fluffy tail began swaying against the ground as she shuffled up-right, still leaning against Moose as she poked her nose further towards the mouth of the den. "Oh I hope it rains..." she mumbled to herself shortly before she caught sight of Alpha Rowan as he made his way into the centre of the Commons, placing himself at the top of his usual perch. Valencia shuffled back to give a light nudge against Moose's shoulder. "C'mon, we're gonna miss this morning's announcements." The little she-wolf exclaimed still using hushed tones. As much as she wanted to spend the day curled up with her mate in their cozy den, there were things to be done, and Valencia wasn't the type to waste a day doing absolutely nothing. Shuffling out of their den, Valencia made a beeline toward's Rowan, sitting before him with her ears pinned towards the sky, eager to hear what they would be doing today. “It seems we’ve had a bit of mountain lion problem, especially in recent months, I’d like for you all to split off, maybe two or three groups, and then flush out the caves. Be careful, quick, and stay on your feet at all times. Doesn’t seem like they like to attack groups, but if any of them show any signs of enhanced aggression, evacuate. Remember, no matter what, it won’t be worth a life. I will join you all to assist and aid in the fight as needed. Any qualms, questions? Those that feel unwell are free to stay back. If not, we will be setting off shortly. Good luck, and good hunting to all!” As Rowan announced the big task of the day, her soft brown eyes were instantly drifting upwards towards Moose. A slight frown tweaked the corners of her mouth, knowing that her own mate would be one of the wolves put in danger as they sought to clear the area of mountain lions. Valencia would be of very little help up in the mountains fighting against the big cats, but she could be useful in her own ways. "Rowan!" She piped up, grabbing the attention of the Alpha with her small yap. "I definitely won't be much help against the lions, but I'd be more than happy to tag along and help with any injuries that may be received." Valencia suggested with a bright smile, her confidence with her abilities being as high as they'd ever been. She was just looking for a chance to prove to Cecil and the Alpha that she was ready for the position that she had been training for, and if anything were to go wrong today it would be the perfect opportunity for her to step up and show how much she had learnt. Val wasn't sure if Cecil would be accompanying them, his older age and stiffer joints perhaps being a hassle with a mission such as this. But the old man was surprisingly resilient, so she would be there to help him through the rocky mountain passes as well. Whatever happened, Valencia would make sure she was ready.

TimeSkip Puppies ran across the commons in numbers that would rival any army. Various colors too, black, white, brown, then one that wore a pelt just like his. This specific puppy crashed into his chest with enough force to throw him to the ground, a seemingly impossible feat. Then the familiar face of his mate came into view, a smile on her maw, were all of these puppies her doing? Before she could speak, a soft nuzzle to his cheek woke him from his slumber, a soft start coming from him as he blinked a few times, amber eyes looking around to ensure he was not surrounded by puppies, not a pup in sight, he was relieved. It wasn't that he did not want pups, quite the contrary, but an entire army of them was scary. Hearing his name roll off of the tongue of his mate made a fluffy sensation settle in his chest, enjoying how her softer pelt felt mushed against his larger form, he could not be happier they'd decided to start sharing a den, though it certainly required modifications to fit the two of them. "Good morning Val." he answered her back, giving a soft yawn as she pressed her head against his chest, chuckling at her question of if anyone would notice if they spent all day in their den, knowing someone certainly would. She seemed to come to this same conclusion shortly after, remarking that he was their star hunter; though he was not sure how much of a fact it was or if he was simply her favorite hunter, she was his favorite Salutaries Apprentice after all. His amber eyes followed her as she peaked out of the den, her fluffy tail whumping against the floor of the den shortly after, he wondered what she was excited about until she mentioned the rain, smiling at the thought of her pelt looking silly due to the rain, soggy in comparison to her usual fluffy pelt. When she nudged him and told him if he didn't get up they would miss the announcements he gave a soft groan, not wanting to get up but he did, allowing her to leave first before following her out. Once outside he stretched his legs out and got in a good stretch before briskly padding after his mate, easily catching up to her due to his long legs and big paws, one of the many advantages his size yielded. Moose too took a seat beside Valencia, ears and eyes perked to pay attention to Rowan, he owned his alpha very much and he wanted to do nothing but respect him and the ideals he presented, more than excited to meet the next litter Raisa was carrying. He wondered when he would get to feel that same kind of pride he was sure Rowan felt when gazing at his mate and his pups. In due time, he was sure. Concern blossomed gently as the alpha mentioned their recent problems with mountain lions, they had intercepted a few successful hunts, he was there to witness it several times. It was Rowans proposal that they send out in hunting parties to be rid of them that explained why honey hues suddenly landed on him, his mates eyes; she was worried about him and he understood why. But maybe this hunt would give her the chance to heal him? He simply hadn't had the honor yet. He broke his gaze from Rowan to look at Valencia in time to see and hear her present Rowan with her own idea, be sent out in order to heal anyone that may be harmed on these missions, she would certainly have an easier time keeping up than Cecil would, though he was sure the old boy would try to keep up the best he could. "Valencia would be great help with the injuries we are sure to receive Rowan, I think it's a good idea that she tag along, I'll keep her safe."The ginger male spoke up, wanting to both support his mate and voice his opinion.

As the days seemed to pass by all too peacefully without excitement in his new pack life, Helios wondered if this pack was destined to be eternally at peace. However, it seemed this morning, there were tasks to do without Helios having to find something to do himself. The Alpha made his presence known to the pack, his demeanor making it clear that he was about to announce something. "It seems we've had a bit of a mountain lion problem, especially in recent months. I'd like for you all to split off, maybe two or three groups, and then flush out the caves. Be careful, quick, and stay on your feet at all times. Doesn't seem like they like to attack groups, but if any of them show any signs of enhanced aggression, evacuate. Remember, no matter what, it won't be worth a life. I will join you all to assist and aid in the fight as needed." He looks over the pack with that firm but warm gaze that Helios feels may have been a factor in him becoming alpha. "Any qualms, questions? Those that feel unwell are free to stay back. If not, we will be setting off shortly. Good luck, and good hunting to all!" Helios gives a small smile. Finally, something to get his blood pumping a bit. Maybe, if he was lucky, he would encounter one and lose an eye or an ear or a toe, something to tell a story about. With a small chuckle at his type of humor, he lifts his head to look around at his pack mates. He really wasn't familiar with anyone here. Mostly, Wingnut and the Alpha, as the Alpha gave him orders and Wingnut did as well. Speaking of Wingnut, his gaze fell on her in the commons and lingered for a bit. He knew her the best (though that wasn’t saying much) of any other wolf in this pack, and if he were to group up with anyone, she would probably be one of his preferred group members. She was straight business, and he liked that. Deciding that was his best place to start, he padded up to the female, hoping she wouldn't think it weird of him. "Good morning," he greets, dipping his head in respects to her title. "Mind if I group up with you?" he asks her, tuscany-colored eyes curious as he awaited her response. @wingnut Alpha Rowan

Timeskip The day in the hot springs seemed so long ago. It was spring now, and love was in the air. So many of the members, some old and some new, were finding new friendships and relationships among each other. It was nice to watch. Jun felt as if he didn't deserve to see such growth and beauty, but somehow here he was. Their time in the territory had been relaxed for the most part, but recently they had been having an issue with other predators stealing food and terrifying the pups, lingering around the borders and such. He didn't want to go one on one with a puma as much as they didn't like taking on packs, so he had done his best to keep them away from the central area in the meantime. Rowan was planning on addressing it. The old brute rose to his paws and stretched out, popping a few joints before his dark nose poked out of his den. Seeing Rowan on his perch, waiting for everyone to gather, he made his way over, sitting close enough that he could hear, but still a bit far back. They were going to try to run them off, eh? Not a bad idea, but still dangerous. A cornered mouse will bite, after all. He didn't feel good about this. Someone was going to get hurt. He kept his usual look, trying to remain neutral as they were divided up. One mountain lion would definitely run from a group of wolves, but if there were more, or if this one happened to be a mother, they were in for a fight. He would need to keep his guard up, stay at the front of the charge with Rowan. He needed to be in a good position to keep anyone else from getting hurt. If this was going to be a brawl, he wanted to be at the front of it. No chance he was going to let the inexperienced fight for him. He waited patiently for everyone to get ready to leave, nodding his head to Rowan. "Just be on your guard, everyone. Don't do anything stupid." He gave a big sigh. It was time to get to work. The hulking form of the snow white scout rested within his den, the shallow, slow breaths causing his chest to rise and fall being the only indication that he was still alive. With the passing days, he had been appointed scout, and he held pride in his new title. Slowly, he roused from his slumber, sleepy eyes peeking out from narrowed lids. His ivory gaze fell over his pack, Rowan emerging from his den, surely to be followed by Quinn and Sirius soon along with Raisa. The alpha’s mate had grown big with pups once more now that their current litter was weaned. Rowan sure worked fast, he mused with a chuckle. Moose and Valencia had proclaimed their feelings for one another, now sharing a den. Cecil, the old champ, had found love too! Azrath rolled his eyes. Girls were nice to look at but he’d still kept his mindset that females had cooties which he had harbored since puphood. Excitement buzzed in his alabaster belly as Rowan perched himself high and called to his packmates. He was slightly disappointed that he’d miss out on the mountain lion shenanigans, though he supposed he was happy with finding new members to join the pack. The brute huffed, standing to his hulking height of four feet and four inches, to be exact. He never thought he’d grow taller than Moose, he didn’t think anyone would be taller than the massive hunter, though he seemed to surpass the limit. Azrath shook out his pelt which had taken an ashy tan color until he threw the dirt from his pelt before stretching out and stepping out of his den as Rowan approached. The he-wolf’s paws buzzed with the need for a good fight, he’d have liked to bat around a mountain lion a bit. Alas, slightly ruefully, he pulled away from the forming parties and made his way to Simon’s den. Snowy eyes fell upon the sleeping figure of his brother and with a not-so-sneaky stalk, he made his way close, plopping next to his brother and obnoxiously pushed himself against him, rolling onto his back and pawing at an ebony ear. “Simon,” He huffed. “Joy is waiting for us.” Ivory canines closed around his brother’s cheek, tugging slightly to get his attention. Simon puffs out a quiet sigh, rolling over in his den and peering out the entrance with dull honeyed eyes. Sleep had been fleeting, lately, and quick to part at the slightest disturbance. The sky outside was a sort of bleary grey, though that didn’t tell him much these days; lately it seemed as though it rained nonstop. The sun was a pleasant rarity, and the black brute dearly hoped it would make an appearance today. Shoving to his paws, the he-wolf pads outside, mud squelching between his toes as he plops down beneath the shade of a large oak, earth beneath it blissfully dry. The rest of the pack would soon be stirring no doubt, edges of the sun beginning to light the sky at last, but for now, he would doze. It is not too much longer later that the shuffling of his packmates brings him back to wakefulness, teeth on full display as maw parts in a jaw-splitting yawn. Rowan’s mention of lions has him at full attention, but alas, it would seem the alpha had another task in mind for Simon. A prick of confusion; Helios had trained him specifically for more battle oriented positions, skill that went more often than not untested in such peaceful lands. Yet the mountain lions, evidently, would be handled by... literally everyone but the three of them. Disappointment is a sharp pang in his chest, but he had faith in his pack’s ability to deal with the problem. In any case, traipsing off to scout new wolves with Joy and his brother would be far better than staying in the presence of altogether rambunctious puppies - and their overbearingly protective mother. A push against his side, a bat against his ear; Azrath’s ‘assault’ is met with a raised eyebrow. Surely they were too old to play as pups do, well on their way to the cusp of adulthood- As Azrath’s fangs close around his cheek, Simon’s jaw gapes in a mocking snarl, paw raising to shove at his sibling’s face to dislodge him from his person. It was tempting to engage him in a tussle - ah, spar - then and there, but like the bigger brother said, Joy was waiting for them. ”Yes, so let’s join her before she simply leaves us behind.” He knew the ivory lupess would do no such thing. ”Up and at em, little brother.” Ever since Azrath had shot up like a sapling on steroids, Simon had found great amusement in calling him little brother. The irony of him holding the title of being born a few minutes later, yet being anything but little, was far from lost on the ebony brute. Clambering to his feet and delivering a deft (yet gentle) kick to the snowy brute’s side, he pads over to the lissom wolf that was to lead them on this little escapade. He knew she could lead them well - when she wanted to. Over the course of the months there had been many a time where self doubt would reflect openly on her face, second guesses delaying her steps. It was hard to put trust in someone who so clearly didn’t trust themselves. Even so, she was sentinel, and in charge of them both. ”Whenever you’re ready, Joy.” He chuffs, voice a deep rumble in his chest. ||Exit to Wherever|| Scout Azrath @joy

As he finished his address, a short yip sought his attention. Valencia had been among the first wolves to assemble, and now appeared increasingly urgent to pitch a plan. "I definitely won't be much help against the lions,” She began, “But I'd be more than happy to tag along and help with any injuries that may be received." Rowan considered it — Cecil’s age could quite well pose a risk, especially in a mission requiring sharp eyes and quick paws. Meanwhile, Valencia wasn’t quite yet a full-fledged Salutary, but she’d be more than capable of handling her own if need be. "Valencia would be great help with the injuries we are sure to receive, Rowan,” Moose decided to helpfully tack on. “I think it's a good idea that she tag along. I'll keep her safe." Rowan arched his brow, all too aware of the many, innumerable maneuvers male wolves liked to pull to stay around a pretty face. Still, Moose had shown his talents, and had already demonstrated he was capable of staying on task in the hunting grounds. He’d allow it. “Alright,” Rowan decided. “I trust you’ll work well together then. Valencia, go and gather any of the herbs you might need, and kindly inform your mentor that he will be remaining at the Commons with Raisa, Grizelda, and the pups. Moose, fetch Edon and Kodiak. I doubt they’d like to miss out on this.”
In the meanwhile, Helios and Jun had gathered, and seemed to be individually conjuring up with their own plans. Helios had already approached Wingnut in hopes of fighting with her group — a good partnership, in his opinion. Wingnut remained sharp and sensible under pressure, and Helios would have the physical strength to back her up. No intervention needed there. In the meanwhile, Junichuro appeared remarkably stiff concerning the task at hand. Not out of worry for himself — Jun was more than capable of defending himself — but for his fellow warriors? More certainly. “It’ll be alright.” Rowan quipped good-naturedly, trotting over to his side. “No accidents so far. That’s a good sign, right? We’ll clear the lot out just fine.” He decided, already determined to emerge victorious. “Everybody ready?” He asked one last time, carelessly tossing his head over his shoulder. “Excellent. Let’s all move out!” Exit To: Sorelus Hunting Grounds Hunter Moose Apprentice Valencia Hunter Edon Hunter Kodiak @helios @wingnut @junichiro Scout Hye-Su @karini @niqo

Beta WingnutIf I Don't Understand, You are the one at fault Wingnut had been up for nearly and hour and a half. Before dawn broke, every day, the Beta woke up naturally. This extra time while everyone else was asleep was spent doing a preliminary round of scouting at the two most vulnerable borders, and making sure that the scent of mountain lion didn't encroach any further into the territory. With Quinn and Sirius unable to defend themselves against such a predator, and with Raisa heavily pregnant once more, large cats had no business in their territory.
Now, she was back in the commons ready for the day to begin. She already knew what the announcement would be - talks between Rowan and the Beta on the subject lead to only one conclusion. Listening intently to the plan being laid out, Wingnut already could tell who was not going to be coming on this mission. The two elders were obviously excluded, and the trio of young wolves being sent on another mission by Rowan. There was no way that her Alpha was going to let his mate on this mission, so naturally she would be staying behind too.
Casting her amber gaze towards the rest of the attending wolves, Helios' approach was observed. "Good morning. Mind if I group with you?" his question seemed to have an obvious answer to the Beta. "Your company would be valuable in the progress towards a well-balanced team for this exercise," her voice was pointed, but flat. With that matter settled, she fell into step alongside Rowan's shoulder on the journey to the hunting grounds. S C O U T H Y E - S U O F S O R E L U S
Hye-Su was now a full fledged adult at two years and four months. How the time has flown, she had been with Rowan and Sorelus for more than half her life. Thinking about that made her smile. She vaguely wondered if her time under Rowan has ended, or if there was more he still wished to pass on to her.
Plum eyes looked to the group that gathered, today was an obvious day. They had to do something about those mountain lions, or they risk too much. Hunting grounds became risky, which meant the risk was getting too close to home. Ebony ear flicked as she listened to the plan, her eyes watched Rowans movements.
She followed closely behind him, keeping a watchful eye and keeping an alert ear to any dangers. Even though they hadn't came this close before, it was always better safe than sorry.

"Your company would be valuable in the progress towards a well-balanced team for this exercise," Wingnut replies formally. Helios' mouth remains open for a second, before he closes it and simply nods. He had almost forgotten the Beta's straight-forward attitude and formal demeanor. Not having long to say anything further, not that he would really want to as this was not a social event but rather a mission of a sort, the Alpha's voice booms over the commons to demand everyone's attention. "Everybody ready?" he questions, eyes scanning meaningfully over his pack to make sure there were no hinderances or troubles. Satisfied with the lack of such, he declares: "Excellent, let's move out!"Glancing towards his group-mate one more time, he begins the shuffle along with the rest of the pack to get out of the commons and get this thing going. Though it was dangerous, he was excited, and maybe the danger was what gave him such a feeling. And if it started to get too dangerous, he would do anything he had to to make sure no one else got hurt. Realizing this feeling confused himself a bit, the feeling of dedication to others more than himself. Helios had always been deep down a selfless and secretly caring wolf, but when he had never had anyone to go through those feelings with, they shocked him like a step into an icy river. Most of his life, he only had himself to look out for, but now that there were others, suddenly he didn't matter so much to himself. And though Helios used to feel sort of like a sore thumb in the pack;, a huge, lone, lumbering golden male with wounds of the past and a gruff personality, now he felt integrated. He was still himself and different from most of the others and maybe a bit noticeable in the crowds, but he now felt like his presence was seen as one of their own, like he was a solid part of the pack's life now. Though he tried to suppress any emotion at this, it still prodded at him with satisfaction. Ignoring any such notions because he felt it was cocky for some reason, he walked out of the commons with his mindset focused but with his heart happy. @wingnut Alpha Rowan
